Personal Data Processed in the Application Process

Personal data is any data relating to the personal or technical affairs of an identified or identifiable natural person. This includes data such as your name, your address, your phone number, your birthdate, but also information about your CV, etc. – as long as it can be related to any identifiable person with reasonable effort. However, data neither immediately nor mediately related to your identity does not classify as personal data.

Foundation and Purpose of the Processing of Personal Data for Application and Application Process
When applying to us using electronical means – i.e. via e-mail or our web application form –, we collect and process your personal data for the purpose of evaluating your application and carrying out pre-contractual measures.
By submitting your application via our recruitment pages, you consent that you have interest in entering an employment relationship with us. As part of this, you submit personal data to us which we use and store with the exclusive purpose of your application.

In particular, we collect the following data:
• Name (First and Last Name)
• E-Mail Address
• Phone Number
• Desired Salary
• Beginning of Employment
• Channel via which you have got to know about us
• Your favorite food

Additionally, you have the option of uploading representative documents and cover letters, your CV and certificates, etc. Such material may contain further personal information such as your birthdate, address, etc. Only authorized and educated personnel from our Human Resources department and employees involved in the application process have access to your data. The storage of personal data is only carried out with the purpose of employment concerning the position you have applied for. Your data is stored for 90 days after the completion of your application process. This is necessary given legal obligations and responses to any legal claims, should they arise. Subsequently, we are required to delete your data or anonymize it. In the case of anonymizing your data, it may only be used as impersonal meta-data for the exclusive purpose of conducting statistical evaluations (e.g. determining the portion of female and male applicants, or number of applications within a given time period).

Furthermore, we preserve the right of using your data for our “Talent Pool” for a time period of 365 days after the completion of your application process, with the purpose of identifying further job positions which may be of interest to you. This may also include trainee or internship positions. By accepting our Privacy Policy, you consent to the data storage in our “Talent Pool.” If you are offered and accept a position as part of your application process, we save the personal data collected via the application process at least for the period of your employment.

Data Subject Rights

To the extent that we – as the Person in Response – process your personal data, you – as the Data Subject – have specific rights depending on the legal basis and purpose of processing pursuant to Chapter III of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). In particular, this includes the “Right of access by the Data Subject” (GDPR, Art. 15), “Right of Rectification” (GDPR, Art. 16), “Right to Erasure” (GDPR, Art. 17), “Right to Restriction of Processing” (GDPR, Art. 18), “Right to Data Portability” (GDPR, Art. 20), and “Right to Object” (GDPR, Art. 21). To the extent that the processing of personal data is based on your consent, you have the right to revoke this consent pursuant to Chapter III, Article 7 of the EU GDPR.
If you want to exercise your data subject rights concerning the processing of your personal data in the application process, please contact our Data Protection Officer.

“Jobs for WordPress” Plugin

For better visibility of our job recruitment posts on Google, we make use of the “Jobs for WordPress” plugin by BlueGlass Interactive AG (Molkenstrasse 8 CH-8004, Zürich). This plugin does also provide the application form we use for the job recruitment posts on our website.

After processing the data (i.e. sending it to us via mail), the data provided via this application form is deleted immediately and not saved. For further information of the processing of your data, refer to the above section, “Foundation and Purpose of the Processing of Personal Data for Application and Application Process”.

Concluding Legal Determinations

We preserve the right of adjusting this Privacy Policy as necessary at any given point in time, with the purpose of keeping it up to date with legal requirements or changes made to the application process, as well as related matters. When visiting our recruitment pages again, the new Privacy Policy shall apply.
